ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Valley resident Dan Bonner has been selected for induction into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.

Bonner played and coached basketball at The University of Virginia. He started covering college basketball on TV in the 80’s, doing ACC Basketball. He has become one of TV’s top college basketball analysts and has covered Match Madness and the NCAA Tournament for over 35 years.

Dan Bonner also was an assistant athletic director and girls basketball coach at Robert E. Lee High School in Staunton. He was named the Virginia Group AA Coach of the year in 2003.

Bonner and the other members of the class of 2025 will be inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame next April in Virginia Beach.
