HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Harrisonburg Public Works is asking drivers in one residential area to consider taking an alternative route for a few days because of planned roadwork.
Officials say that curb and gutter work is starting today along New York Avenue between South High Street and Roosevelt Street, just a couple blocks south of the JMU campus.
According to the city, this job will likely require adjustments for anyone driving, parking or walking in the neighborhood.
Folks are asked to proceed with caution in the work zone and, if possible, consider avoiding the area entirely.
There’s no word on how long the project is expected to take.
