HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Court Square Theater will remain open and active thanks to a new short-term lease agreement.

Act One Theater Company, Inc. in Harrisonburg will take over the lease of Court Square Theater from the Harrisonburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority for all of 2026. Scheduled Court Square Theater programming will continue without interruption.

Officials say Act One will maintain performances and events and the HRHA will host outreach meetings for community input for better understanding of how residents would like to see Court Square Theater used.
