HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – Court Square Theater has unveiled their Fall/Winter 2025 season, featuring a mix of live music, theater, independent film, and special events designed to engage, inspire, and entertain audiences of all ages. “This season reflects our commitment to both local talent and nationally recognized artists,” said Justin Reiter, CST Managing Director. “We’re continuing to build a program that not only draws audiences from across the Valley but also makes space for new voices and stories that matter.”

Season highlights include:
Live Music Performances
● Bluegrass Series: Featuring Ironwood Drive (Sept. 6), Blue Highway (Sept. 20), and Tony Trischka’s Earl Jam (Nov. 8), the CST Bluegrass Series returns with genre-defining talent.
● Upbeat Downtown Series: Headliners include Tinsley Ellis (Sept. 13) and The End of Innocence Tour (Oct. 11), bringing high-energy, crowd-pleasing performances to the heart of downtown.
● Living Room Series: Hosted by Trent Wagler, this part interview, part music showcase of singer-songwriters includes Anna Tivel (Sept. 7), Leon Majcen (Oct. 10), Dawn Landes (Nov. 22), and Driftwood (Dec. 6).

Movies
Every Wednesday, Court Square Theater continues its beloved Movies@CST series, screening new releases, documentaries, and classic films at 2 pm and 7 pm. With affordable $10 tickets, this weekly tradition is a perfect midweek escape for film lovers. Special screening of The Promise Land with filmmaker Rick Ray on (Oct.27). Theater & Community Events
● Eunoia Theatre Company presents Rachel Cusk’s Medea, a new adaptation of the famous Greek tragedy Oct 24–26. Showcasing powerful storytelling and regional talent on the CST stage.
● Friendly City Fables, offering community-driven improv inspired by audience-submitted stories, lights up the stage with original, unscripted fun for ages 18 and up on the third Thursday of each month, finishing its season Oct 23 with a special two-year anniversary show.
● Bob & Me (Sept. 12) is a musical celebration featuring local musicians honoring the songwriting legacy of Bob Dylan through a Shenandoah Valley lens.
● Rocktown Improv brings unscripted comedy to the stage the first Friday of each month, delivering laughs with a local twist.

Family & Special Programming
● I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas, presented by The Barter Players (Nov. 15), is a joyful holiday production sure to delight the entire family.
● The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Oct. 31) returns with all the interactive madness fans have come to expect — plus prop kits available for purchase.
● Nashville Country Christmas (Dec. 7) delivers a festive evening of holiday favorites with a country twist — featuring live music, heartfelt harmonies, and seasonal cheer straight from Music City.
