HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The City of Harrisonburg Public Transportation Department has shared their service changes for their city bus routes.

The changes will be effective Monday, January 6, 2025.

  • City Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 — will no longer have mid-route transfers at Cloverleaf or Godwin Transit Center.
  • City Routes 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 — will have updated times for their routes.
  • Route 3 — will no longer skip the HHS bus stop during the 1:30pm run.
  • Route 4 — will no longer service stops on:
    • N. Mason St. — between Gay St. and E. Market St.
    • E. Market St. — between Mason and MLK Jr Way
    • MLK Jr Way — between E. Market and S. Main St.
  • Route 4 — will now service stops on:
    • N. Liberty St/Lee Highway — between Gay St. and MLK Jr Way
    • 1825 S. Main St. — new bus stop being added
  • Route 5 — will no longer service stops on:
    • (Southbound) Chicago Ave. — between Mt. Clinton Pike and Gay St.
      • Chicago Ave. @ Del Acres, Chicago Apartments, & Waterman Dr.
    • Gay St. — between Chicago Ave. and N. Mason St.
      • West Gay St. @ Lee Ave. & Collicello St.
  • Route 5 — will now service stops on:
    • Mt. Clinton Pike — between Virginia Ave. and N. Main St./Lee Highway
      • New stops being added — see new schedule & route map
    • (Westbound) N. Main St./Lee Highway — between Mt. Clinton Pike/Vine St. and N. Mason St.
      • New stops being added — see new schedule & route map
