HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The City of Harrisonburg wants the community’s input on an effort to create bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure from the existing Northend Greenway from Monroe Street to Downtown Harrisonburg.
The Public Works Department will host an open house later this week for residents to discuss their experiences, thoughts and questions relating to traveling in this corridor.
In a news release, City Public Works Transportation Planner Jakob zumFelde says they are excited to take a look at another section of the greenway since it is so popular with the community.
The meeting will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Loft at Liberty Street Mercantile located on West Gay Street.
