AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) – Prosecutors have decided not to pursue charges against a former Nexus executive who was accused of assaulting the man he, along with two other men, allegedly embezzled money from.
Michael Donovan of Fishersville was scheduled to have a hearing this morning in Augusta County General District to face a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.
However, according to online records, that charge will not be prosecuted.
Donovan was accused of assaulting Zachary Cruz during an altercation back on March 8.
Meanwhile, Donovan, Richard Moore, also of Fishersville, and Timothy Shipe of Staunton are all accused of embezzling over $400,000 that Cruz received after the passing of his mother.
That trial is scheduled to begin in September.
