FOREST, Va. (BC Athletics) – Jack Hendren of the Bridgewater College football team has been named the ODAC Special Teams Player of the Week after the team’s 80-0 win over Southern Virginia on Saturday.

Hendren, like much of the program, had an afternoon to remember at the Stadium at the Jopson Athletic Complex on Saturday as he knocked down nine point-after attempts and also tossed in a 31-yard field goal in the highest scoring game in program history. The senior from Winchester, Va. also tied for the fourth most PATs made in a single game with his nine makes as well as combining with Augustin Miguel to tie for the most PATs made in a single contest in the conference’s history with 11.

The former D3football.com All-American selection becomes the second Eagle to win the conference’s weekly accolade in as many weeks as the award has existed.

BC’s 80-0 victory over SVU on Saturday was the most points scored in a single game in program history and the third-most points in a game in ODAC history. Saturday also marked the second time the Eagles have scored 75 or more points in a game under coach Scott Lemn.

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday as they battle Millsaps on the road.
