SALEM, Va. (BC Athletics) – The Bridgewater College women’s soccer team rolled to a 3-0 won on Wednesday night over Roanoke behind a five-point night from Laura Narby.

How It Happened
• Bridgewater had early pressure as Katherine King fired a shot over the crossbar off of a set piece in the opening minute. BC kept rolling with the pressure and it paid off as Narby took advantage of a Maroons turnover and scored to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead just inside of six minutes in.
• The Eagles attack kept rolling as Skyler Daum put a shot on net following the restart of play, but a save by Grace Suchy kept the scoreline the same. In the 10th minute the Eagles struck again as Sophia Phillips found Narby and the New York native fired and scored again to make it 2-0 early on. Roanoke had its first registered scoring opportunity in the 17th minute, but a save by Rylee Asiello kept it at a 2-0 Eagles lead. BC kept the offense clicking including a shot by Kendall Garza in the 35th minute that was turned away by Suchy to send keep it a 2-0 BC advantage at the break.
• Daum had another chance early in the second half but missed off target. Roanoke had a true chance early in the second half, but a pair of Maroons’ shots were blocked on their way in the 56th minute. BC quickly flipped the field as Narby made a run and had her shot blocked, but Garza scooped up the rebound and found the back of the net to make it 3-0 for the Eagles with over 30 minutes left to play.
• Roanoke looked to try and adjust down the stretch but failed to register a shot on goal during the second half as the Eagles continued to roll in all facets.

Match Notes
• Narby had a night to remember with a career-high five points (two goals and one assist).
• Asiello made one stop on the only shot she faced while Suchy made nine saves for the Maroons.
• The Bridgewater offense was firing on all cylinders with a 26-6 shooting advantage including a 15-1 edge in shots on target.
