BRIDGEWATER, VA (Rocktown Now) — Bridgewater Fire & Rescue and Police Department will be hosting a Touch-a-Truck event at the Oakdale Soccer Field on Saturday May 11 from noon until 2.

The event offers children an opportunity to explore working trucks and vehicle of all types and to meet the people who build, protect, and serve the community. Local equipment on display will include vehicle from the Bridgewater Fire & Rescue, Bridgewater Town Maintenance and Police Departments, Rockingham County Schools, Perdue, and Mole Hill Bikes.

Batman will also be in attendance showing off his own vehicle.

Music will be provided by Howard Productions DJ services. Smiley’s Ice Cream and Log Cabin Barbecue food trucks will also be there serving food.

The Police Bike Rodeo will include chats about bike safety and a bike course for kids 4-12 years old. Mole Hill Bikes will also be performing bike checks.

This event is free for all ages.
