How It Happened
• WLU went down the field immediately and registered a shot on goal in the game’s opening 72 seconds, but a save from Schweinefuss kept the game tied. WLU kept the pressure on and it paid off three minutes in as Dmitri Tulloch found nylon in the third minute to make it 1-0 for WLU. The Generals kept the pressure on and added to the tally in the 14th minute as Wyimi Agbeyegbe found the back of the net unassisted to make it 2-0.
• Bridgewater got something going on offense in the 20th minute as RIley Queen got a shot off that missed wide. The Eagles earned a corner kick a few moments later, but the Generals flipped the field and Agbeygbe made it 3-0 with his second score of the night. WLU kept firing away but multiple saves from Charles Schweinefuss kept it a 3-0 deficit at the break.
• The Eagles had an offensive chance early in the second half on a free kick but the shot from Justin Scott missed the cage. The Generals kept the pressure on, but more saves from the Eagles’ keeper kept the hope alive.
