NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BC Athletics) – The Bridgewater College men’s lacrosse team fell to Albion 14-6 on Sunday.

How It Happened
• Both teams had chances in the opening three minutes, but two quick strikes from Albion in a 40 second span made it 2-0 four minutes in. AC had chances but saves by Gabe Wallman kept it a two-goal game. BC got on the board with 29 seconds to go in the quarter as Alex Gabarino scooped up a ground ball and scored to cut the deficit in half.
• Albion added on to the lead with two quick goals once again as a pair of goals in just over a minute made it 4-1 for the Britons. BC won the faceoff that followed, but a turnover gave possession back to the Britons and they capitalized again to take a 5-1 edge. Albion stretched the lead to 6-1, the Eagles flipped the field later in the frame and got back on the board as Riley Stewart found the back of the net, but Albion had an instant response to make it 7-2. Ryan Linn had the Eagles’ response with 2:24 to go in the half, but the Brits had one last tally in the final seconds of the half to take an 8-3 advantage.
• AC scored right out of the half and backed that up with another tally to take a 10-3 lead two minutes into the third quarter. Albion registered another tally midway through the quarter to extend the advantage and the Britons’ defense held the line keeping BC off the scoreboard in the third quarter and took an 11-3 lead into the fourth.
• The Britons got on the board first in the fourth quarter, but BC responded 13 seconds later as Jake Wagner found the back of the net on a dish by Issac Beals. AC registered a tally to take a 13-4 edge with seven minutes to play and stretched the lead to double digits with five minutes to play. The Eagles responded shortly after as Stewart found the back of the net with 3:19 to go and Linn added a tally with 15 seconds to go, but the damage was already done.
