DEMOREST, Ga. (BC Athletics) – Bridgewater baseball captured a 13-9 win over Albion for the final game in the weekend spring break trip to Georgia at Loudermilk Field Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened
• A high-scoring game resulted in a high-octane offense for both teams, while hopes for one team to keep the other team at bay. The Eagles put matters in their own hands and got off to a quick start in the first inning to put a point on the board with a one-run single by Trent Holland to bring in Nick Stavros.
• BCE continued the offense in the next inning adding three more runs. Bransen Hensley started it off ripping a single to get Christian Harris home. Then, Chandler Valbak lined a two-run single into the outfield scoring in Stavros and TJ Johnson. In the bottom of the second, AC quickly cut the deficit with a three-run homer and an RBI single to tie it at four apiece. The Britons took command going up by one with a scored run off a wild pitch.
• The Eagles turned it around in the fourth regaining the lead at 6-5 off a Valbak two run double, helping to bring home Hensley and C. Harris. However, AC tied it back up at six with a one-run double.
• In the fifth inning, BCE got back to active offense racking up three runs beginning with Lucas Bauer. Bauer knocked in Ashton Smith with a single and then C. Harris flew out to center to get Zack Chadwell home. Bauer pounced on the wild pitch also crossing home. AC managed to score only one run with an RBI single. The next inning the Eagles kept on the gas with another run scored off the bat of Chadwell as Holland crossed home.
• The power came in bunches in the eighth as the Eagles tacked on two more runs with back-to-back homers by Chadwell and Smith. BCE closed out the Britons with an insurance run in the ninth as Smith smacked an RBI single for the Hensely scored run. Chad Martin gave up a homer but soon settled in to deliver solid outs to get out of any trouble leaving the final score at 13-9.
