HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County hosted their annual Bigger Together celebration on Thursday.

The event showcased the positive impact that BBBS has on the community and local mentorship.

Local leaders, community members, and donors celebrated with bigs, littles, and parents and shared the impacts the mentorship program has had on them directly.

Paloma Hidalgo, a rising senior at Harrisonburg High School, has been in the program as a little since the third grade and she described her big sister as a “relationship that can’t ever been taken away.”
