Beverly Veazie “Farmer” Knight, 86, of Elkton, passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at Journey’s Crossing Assisted Living in Elkton. She was born June 16, 1937 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Joseph Clayton and Virginia “Veazie” Farmer.

 

Beverly graduated from Elkton High School with the class of 1955 where she was a cheerleader. She worked for Rockingham County Public Schools as a bus driver for many years. She retired from Amp Tyco after many years of service. Beverly loved her pets, especially her horses and loved attending horse shows. She loved going to the beach in Nags Head, North Carolina as well as going to the race track. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

She is survived by her sons, Clayton “Tim” Knight and wife, Andrea of Elkton, Richard “Rick” Knight and wife, Verna of Gladstone, Va, Walter “Walt” Knight of Elkton; brother, Joseph “Joe” Farmer of Elkton; sister, Brenda Dean and husband, David of Elkton; special nephew, Davey Dean and wife, Jill of Elkton; special niece, Dedi Dean of Elkton; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
