STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — After 33 years of service, the Beverley Street Studio School in Staunton announced this morning that it will close its doors, effective December 12th.
The announcement was made in a letter by Board President Dana Quillen and posted on its social media page.
The letter stated that the decision came after careful consideration, honoring the legacy and spirit of the school.
Despite its successes and legacy, Beverly Street Studio faced many challenges leading up to its closure and rising costs for school operations, increased competition, decreased funding and a shrinking pool of volunteer labor exacerbated the school’s ongoing financial shortfall.
Members and donors received a separate announcement via email.
