HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – An iconic Harrisonburg restaurant has been named among “Virginia Living” magazine’s “Best of 2025.”

Bar-B-Q Ranch on North Valley Pike/Route 11has been honored as this year’s “Best Barbeque Restaurant in the Shenandoah Valley.”

Unaware of the recognition, Owner Faye Bland and staff were recently surprised to discover a letter from Governor Glenn Youngkin in the mail personally congratulating them for their achievement.

In the letter posted to the restaurant’s social media, Youngkin praised the Bar-B-Q Ranch for reflecting “the Commonwealth’s tradition of quality and innovation” and for helping to “ensure Virginia remains the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
