AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office will be pumping gas at the Meyers Corner 7-Eleven, located at 1157 Jefferson Highway, Staunton, VA 24401, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Members of the Sheriff’s Office will be on-site pumping gas and collecting donations to benefit Special Olympics Virginia. All proceeds will go directly to support local athletes and fund essential programs and services that help empower individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports and inclusion.

“This is a great opportunity for our deputies to serve the public in a different way, by giving back to a community that always supports us,” said Sheriff Smith in a release. “Every dollar raised helps provide opportunities for these amazing athletes to shine.”
