AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night.

It happened shortly before 10 p.m. in the 450 block of Hite Hollow Road in Craigsville. The result was a woman suffering a gunshot wound to the arm.

Craigsville Rescue Squad and Augusta County Fire and Rescue responded and transported the victim to Augusta Health.

Sheriff Donald Smith stated in a news release that this was an isolated incident and it is still under investigation at this time.
