AUGSUTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office will continue its tradition of delivering gifts to less fortunate children for Christmas.
Sheriff Donald Smith reached out to all 18 Augusta County Schools and asked for a list of children in need or that had a negative experience with law enforcement.
Once the list was received, each child made a list of things that they wanted or needed for Christmas.
Sheriff Smith, deputies, local businesses, churches and community members have tried to make sure that these children received what was on their list.
On Christmas Eve morning, Sheriff Smith, along with deputies, will then deliver the gifts between 10 and noon.
