AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Travis Ryan Brown, who was convicted of aggravated murder for the death of 3-year-old Khaleesi Cuthriell, will continue to serve his life sentence.

The Virginia Court of Appeals denied his motion on Tuesday, July 30, 2025.

Brown’s legal team argued that a court error allowed into evidence vague and cryptic social media images that should’ve been thrown out.

The appellate court explained that it lacks the power to reverse a trial judge’s decision to admit evidence unless there is a clear “abuse of discretion.”

From there, the panel cited detailed evidence that, in their opinion, shows clear proof of Brown’s actions and that his sentence was warranted.
