AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) – A Churchville man is in custody on child pornography charges.

Augusta County Sheriff Donald Smith reports that 25-year-old Bobby Clinedinst was arrested Tuesday and charged with 21 felony counts of possession of child pornography as well as four felony counts of sexual contact with an animal.

Smith stated that the arrest follows an investigation that began on March 20th when the Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force regarding the possible possession of child pornography.

Investigators initiated a comprehensive probe, which led to the discovery of digital evidence that supported the charges.

Clinedinst is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail without bond.
