AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Augusta County Sheriff’s Investigator Ron Reid was presented with an award from the International Homicide Investigators Association for his hard work and dedication in the successful investigation into the homicide of three-year-old Khaleesi Cuthriell.

The award stated that his steadfast commitment and tireless work have brought Khaleesi the justice she deserved.

Sheriff Donald Smith stated that he is extremely proud of Reid for the tireless hours, sleepless nights and continuous emotional impact that he put into this horrific case.

Travis Brown and Candi Jo Royter were both sentenced to life in prison in connection with Khaleesi’s death.
