AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — It appears that the Augusta County man who was charged in the death of his infant son is off the hook.

According to online records, prosecutors have decided not to pursue the two felony charges against Blake Matthew Clark during a preliminary hearing this week in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

The 25-year-old Clark was charged with murder after an incident in May at his home on Meade Park Circle in Verona.

Emergency medical personnel arrived at the home and found the two-month-old infant unresponsive.

While initial efforts to resuscitate the child were successful, three days later, the infant was pronounced dead.

Prosecutors could bring back the charges at a later date.
