AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — During this Christmas Season the Augusta County Circuit Court Clerk’s Staff selected Hurricane Helene victims and a toy drive for children in North Carolina to support for 2024. In all the staff has donated almost $700 in funds to help others.
“I am very proud of the Augusta County Circuit Court Clerk’s Staff for thinking of others during this Christmas Season and throughout the year,” Augusta County Circuit Court Clerk R. Steven Landes said. “The Clerk’s Staff does not just celebrate Christmas during the Holiday Season, but throughout the entire year by their work in helping others with their staff supported donations.”
The Clerk’s Staff purchased 28 toys and games for children in Swannanoa/Black Mountain, North Carolina for those impacted by Hurricane Helene earlier this year. The Clerk’s staff worked through Cornerstone Community Church in Crimora, for “Operation Christmas Hope.” The staff also supported an elementary school student for Christmas, donated to the John B. Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund, and supported Night to Shine, a free prom like event for people with special needs in Augusta County.
