AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — A County Attorney resigned at last night’s Augusta County Board of Supervisors meeting.

Following a closed session during the regular meeting, the Board announced the acceptance of the resignation of former County Attorney Jim Benkahla, thanking him for his service.

In the same meeting, Nicole Price who has served as Assistant County Attorney since April of 2024, was appointed to serve as Interim County Attorney.

In a press release, the Board stated they are looking forward to working with Price as she continues to support the legal needs of Augusta County in this new role.
