HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Another national discount department store with locations throughout the Shenandoah Valley may be permanently closing.
President and C-E-O Bruce Thorn said in a press release yesterday, that Big Lots will soon begin “going out of business” sales across all remaining Big Lots stores as the result of a failed asset purchase agreement with Nexus Capital Management.
Thorn says the sales will protect the value of the Big Lots estate while the company attempts to close an alternative “going concern” transaction by early January.
Look for “Going Out of Business” sales to hit stores in Harrisonburg, Waynesboro, and beyond in the coming days.
