HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – Nominations are now open for the Shenandoah Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

For 34 years, the Shenandoah Chapter of AFP has celebrated the spirit of giving in the Shenandoah Valley through its annual National Philanthropy Day luncheon and awards ceremony. This year’s celebration will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Hotel Madison.

Community members are invited to recognize donors, volunteers, students, and businesses whose generosity and service have made a meaningful impact in the Shenandoah Valley. Nominations close at 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

Nomination categories include:
• Spirit of Philanthropy
• Individual Philanthropy
• Corporate Philanthropy
• Youth in Philanthropy
• Sandra Neff Fundraising Executive

“National Philanthropy Day is our chance to celebrate the people and organizations who give back in extraordinary ways,” said Penny Imeson, NPD Chair. “We encourage everyone to nominate someone who has made a positive difference in our community.”
