STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate last month’s robbery of a jewelry store in Staunton.

On December 1st at around 1:30am, Lieutenant Leslie Snyder reports the suspects broke through the back wall of “The Velvet Case” located on 54 Rowe Road and cut through the business’ safe.

Snyder says the thieves spent the next few hours stealing over 300-thousand-dollars-worth of jewelry and cash.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
