AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office has indicted a woman for alleged construction fraud.
ACSO says that in September 2024, officers launched an investigation into Amy Argenbright of A&Co 2002, LLC, for alleged construction fraud. Investigators found that despite the victim paying Argenbright $366,000, the single-family residence in eastern Augusta County remained far from completion.
After an extensive investigation, the Augusta County Grand Jury indicted Argenbright on July 28, 2025, for failure to perform promise for construction, etc., in return for advances. Deputies took Argenbright into custody on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Argenbright was released on an unsecured bond.
ACSO says they continue to pursue this ongoing investigation, which may involve victims in multiple jurisdictions. If you have information regarding this case, contact the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office at 540-245-5333.
