CHARLESTON, W. Va. — West Virginia governor Jim Justice signed a proclamation declaring this week Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Week in the Mountain State.
During a press conference yesterday, Justice called on the commissioner of the state’s Bureau for Behavioral Health to explain two services kids and families can use to get help with a mental crisis.
Christina Mullins told reporters that the West Virginia Crisis and Referral Line and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Line are both available 24/7.
The Crisis and Referral Line can be reached at (844) HELP-4-WV. However, Mullins said the 988 Suicide and Crisis Line is available by call, text or chat.
