A trial date has been set for the Waynesboro man charged in a shooting last October.

A jury trial date of May 22nd has been set for Gage William Mayne, who faces seven charges, including second-degree murder.

The 28-year-old Mayne is also charged with four counts of obstruction and resisting arrest.

Waynesboro Police responded to a shooting on October 16th in the 25-hundred block of Village Drive.

Officers say they found Mayne with a gunshot wound. After he fled the scene initially, officers were able to locate his vehicle and arrested him without incident.

Mayne will be back in court on May 19th for an arraignment hearing.
