Governor Glenn Youngkin announced last night new Bureau of Labor Statistics data showing Virginia’s employment rate is back up to 65-point-six percent. That’s one-tenth of a percent less than the unemployment rate in February 2020 – the final month before the start of the COVID era.
Youngkin said these numbers prove that a business-friendly approach has the commonwealth pointed in the right direction.
Meanwhile, Virginia’s unemployment rate held steady at 3-point-2 percent in February – nearly half a point lower than the national average.
