RICHMOND, Va – The Virginia Lottery has released its report on casino gaming activity for February.
During the month, gaming revenues from Virginia casinos totaled $57.3 million.
Virginia law assesses a graduated tax on a casino’s AGR, or wagers minus winnings, and $10.3 million in taxes were paid to the Gaming Proceeds Fund.
Nearly $6.8 million of that goes to the state’s coffers while over $82,000 will go towards the Problem Gambling Treatment and Support Fund.
There three operating casinos in Virginia are H-R Bristol, Rivers Casino Portsmouth and Caesars Virginia in Danville.
