RICHMOND, Va – The Virginia Lottery released its report this morning on casino gaming activity for December.

During the month, gaming revenues from the three casinos in the commonwealth totaled 58 and a half million dollars.

State law assesses a graduated tax on a casino’s Adjusted Gross Revenue and so nearly 12 million dollars in taxes were paid to the Gaming Proceeds Fund, which mainly will be split between the localities and the state.

Almost 94-thousand of that goes to the Problem Gambling Treatment and Support Fund.

The three operating casinos in Virginia are H-R Bristol, Rivers Casino Portsmouth, and Caesars Virginia in Danville.
