RICHMOND, Va – The Virginia Lottery has released its report on sports wagering activity for the month of April.
Virginians wagered nearly $426 million between April 1st and April 30th, which is over six and a half percent higher than last April.
State law places a 15 percent tax on sports betting activity based on each permit holder’s adjusted gross revenue and that led to nearly $5.8 million in tax payments for the month:
