The man police say was responsible for the robbery at Mr. J’s Bagels more than a year ago was sentenced to two months in jail for an unrelated incident.
Online records showed Dakota Shull of Harrisonburg was sentenced to a year in jail for credit card fraud with all but two months suspended during a hearing this morning in Rockingham County Circuit Court.
The 28-year-old Shull is accused of using a tire iron to break into Mr. J’s Bagels on South High Street during the early morning hours of November 16th of 2021 and stealing the store safe. A hearing scheduled this week for that case was continued until February 28th.
Meanwhile, authorities say Shull is a suspect in other break-ins throughout Rockingham County and he was indicted by a grand jury last fall on five charges related to those incidents.
