STRASBURG, Va – Strasburg Police are investigating a suspicious death.

According to a news release, the department received a medical call shortly before six o’clock Monday evening at 442 Pleasant View Drive for a 72-year-old woman was found dead inside a home. Her name was not released.

A search warrant was obtained and detectives collected evidence at the scene to be analyzed by the Virginia Department of Forensic Science.

Meanwhile, the victim’s body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Officials state that this is an isolated incident and there is no immediate danger to the community.
