STAUNTON, Va – A Staunton man is in custody on child pornography charges.

Staunton Police Sergeant Butch Shiflett reported in a press release that 19-year-old Charles McCauley the Third was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of attempted extortion, 13 counts of distribution of child pornography, and nine counts of child solicitation using a communications device.

McCauley is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.

Shiflett stated that the U-S Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted with the arrest.
