Residents of the Friendly City can ring in the new year with a splash – all while supporting Harrisonburg Parks and Rec.

The city’s Shiver Me Timbers Pirate Plunge is set for tomorrow from 1-to-2 p.m. at Westover Pool. Entries cost 20-dollars per head, but all jumpers can expect donuts, coffee and hot chocolate to help shake off the chill, plus a towel courtesy of the pool. The event is open to anyone over 14-years-old.

Day-of registration will be available on-site. All proceeds from this event directly benefit Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation.
