Two Stanley residents were rescued from a burning home on Sunday night.
The Stanley Fire Department says it responded to calls of a house fire during the late hours of January 22nd, arriving to find a car on fire in the driveway as well as the back porch of the structure ablaze and spreading into the home.
Fire chief Terry Pettit said the front door and all windows to the home were barricaded, but a Page County deputy managed to get inside and help a 37-year-old woman, a 67-year-old man and two dogs escaped.
Stanley Fire says it’s unclear what started the blaze. An investigation is ongoing.
