WOODSTOCK. Va – The Shenandoah County man who admitted to setting a fire to an antique structure last summer will have to wait another week to find out his fate.
Online records showed that Friday morning’s sentencing hearing for Ray Kerns was delayed until next Thursday in the circuit court.
The former Woodstock firefighter from Toms Brook pled guilty in March to arson of an unoccupied building and entering a dwelling with intent to commit arson. Both counts are felonies.
Last August 12th, the 37-year-old Kerns set ablaze a 120-year-old building on West Locust Street in Woodstock.
