WOODSTOCK, Va – The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office announced the retirement of Major Scott Proctor following 30 years of service.
Proctor began his law enforcement career as a Deputy Sheriff with Shenandoah County in October of 1992.
Sheriff Tim Carter stated in a post on the department’s Facebook page that Proctor had most recently served as the role of Chief Deputy for and was critically instrumental in the success of the sheriff’s office regarding personnel, policy, operations, and growth for over three decades.
Carter added that all past and current staff members who have had the privilege of working with Proctor are better individuals due to his leadership.
The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Scott for his service and leadership to our community and wish him a very Happy Retirement! Congratulations Scott!
