HARRISONBURG VA: (WSVA) – February 6th is recognized around the world as Safer Internet Day, and law enforcement here in the Valley says talking to kids about the things they see online can keep them safe here in the real world.
On social media, Harrisonburg Police is reminding parents that they are in charge of keeping tabs on their children’s online presence.
H-P-D says talking with kids about the content on their devices and discussing how to protect themselves online are great ways to keep them safe on the web.
It’s a similar message from the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, which says the younger kids are when you start the conversation about internet safety, the better.
