CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va – The man accused of killing three University of Virginia football players and injuring others in a shooting last November is now facing 13 new indictments.

Albemarle County Commonwealth’s Attorney James Hingeley made the announcement Friday after a special grand jury returned the indictments on Wednesday against Christopher Darnell Jones, Junior.

Hingeley stated that these new charges supersede the pending charges against the 23-year-old Jones that were certified to the October 2nd regular grand jury.

Nearly half of the indictments are for aggravated murder in the deaths of Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis and D’Sean Perry.

Those three will be honored before U-V-A’s football game against James Madison University Saturday morning.
