MOUNT JACKSON, Va – The Timberville man arrested in December after a 19-hour standoff will go before a grand jury this week.
According to online records, Joshua Ryan Litten is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Circuit Court at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
The five charges against Litten include three counts of attempted malicious wounding of a law enforcement officer stemming from a December 7th standoff at Perry Trailer Park Road near Mount Jackson.
Authorities attempted to negotiate with Litten, but allege that he produced a gun and fired shots from the residence.
He later surrendered and remains in custody. Litten also faces several charges for violating court-ordered probation.
