ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va (WSVA) – It is 11 months of hard time for the North Carolina man who shot and wounded another driver in Harrisonburg last year.
According to online records, 43-year-old Timothy Leach, of Fayetteville, entered an Alford plea earlier this month on three of the five total counts he was facing. Prosecutors agreed to drop the other two.
The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said that Leach fired several rounds into a vehicle on East Market Street the night of August 20th.
The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries, but did survive.
Leach was sentenced to 15 years in prison, with 14 years and one month suspended.
He will also serve five years of supervised probation following his release.
