WAYNESBORO, Va – Waynesboro Public Schools is bringing back Walk to School Week for another year.

Assistant superintendent Dr. Ryan Barber said in a release that every day next week, students at various city schools will be dropped off by their buses at an off-campus location so they can walk to school together.

Barber said the point of the week is to raise awareness about the health benefits of walking daily.

It all kicks off Monday morning, when buses bound for Kate Collins Middle School will drop kids off at Embrace Community Center.

Tuesday, it’s Berkeley Glen Elementary School’s turn to hoof it to class.
