HARRISONBURG, Va – The Harrisonburg City School Board postponed a decision to possibly change school start times until later this month.
Superintendent Dr. Michael Richards recommended the delay during Tuesday night’s school board meeting, saying that the board needed more time to evaluate the complete data from a community survey that had just come in hours before the meeting,
Harrisonburg resident Peter Johnson spoke during the public comment period.
“Stop trying to find data,” Johnson exclaimed. “The community has spoken and they aren’t in favor of this, what more do you need?”
Dr. Richards said the board will vote at their next work session on Tuesday March 19th.
