Harrisonburg Public Works is rolling out a new tool that helps compile all city activities affecting right-of-way access in one centralized location.

The city’s Infrastructure and Maintenance and Activity Portal, or IMAP program, is now active. City communications specialist Brittany Clem-Hott says that while Harrisonburg officials use social media to get news of any closures out quickly, it’s not always the most effective tool since some residents aren’t on the social network.

Some features of the service include the address of the project or road closure along with the timeframes of those closures.

The IMAP service can be found on the City of Harrisonburg’s website, or at this link.
